At present the Cathedral Choir comprises of about 30 members of all ages under the leadership of the Director of Music, Claire Stewart. The junior and senior choristers receive professional vocal training and there opportunities to work towards the Cathedral Chorister Award Scheme where medals are awarded on completion of musical and Christian training tests for the more advanced choristers.
The Cathedral Choir sing at the 10.30am Mass on Sundays and at other major Cathedral liturgies.
In addition they are also available to sing at weddings and soloists are available for weddings and for a Requiem Mass.

Choir rehearsals take place on Fridays evening and before Mass, each month one of these ends with a social.There is a strong bond between the choir members and they enjoy regular retreats and days out together.
