In 2004 a youth ministry initiative was launched in Northampton called the Ezekiel Project.
It is the result of one of the recommendations of the recent "Y Church Report on Youth Ministry", commissioned by the Diocese – www.nymo.org.
The Ezekiel Project is a Catholic youth mission team, which works with young people in Northampton deanery, both in Catholic education and in general parish life.
Each parish around the town has a ‘link’ person, who supports existing youth ministry, contributes to catechetics and youth work planning, and encourages new ways of helping young people participate more fully in the church community.
The team live, work and pray together and attend daily Mass at the Cathedral.
